2021 (S) American Silver Eagle T-1 Emergency Production MS70 – NGC Mercanti Signed – San Francisco Mint
This exceptional 2021 (S) American Silver Eagle Type 1 was struck at the San Francisco Mint during the U.S. Mint’s Emergency Production period and graded a perfect MS70 by NGC. Coins from this special production run were struck to help meet unprecedented demand for Silver Eagles and have become highly collectible among modern bullion enthusiasts.
This example features the original Type 1 Heraldic Eagle reverse, the final year this historic design appeared before the U.S. Mint transitioned to the Type 2 reverse in mid-2021.
Adding further collectible appeal, the NGC label is hand-signed by John M. Mercanti, the 12th Chief Engraver of the United States Mint and designer of the Heraldic Eagle reverse used on Silver Eagles from 1986–2021.
Struck from 1 troy ounce of .999 fine silver, this coin represents both the end of an iconic design era and a unique moment in modern U.S. Mint history.
