Peace Dollar Description
The Peace Dollar was introduced in 1921 to commemorate the end of World War I and symbolizes America’s hope for peace. Minted from 1921 to 1928 and again in 1934–1935, the coin contains 90% silver and 10% copper, weighing 26.73 grams.
Designed by sculptor Anthony de Francisci, the Peace Dollar features a radiant portrait of Lady Liberty on the obverse and a majestic eagle perched on a rock with the word “PEACE” on the reverse. Known for its bold design and historical significance, the Peace Dollar remains a favorite among collectors and investors alike.
