Offered here is a 1934-S Peace Silver Dollar certified AU58 by NGC, a highly desirable semi-key date in the Peace Dollar series.
The Peace Dollar was designed by Anthony de Francisci and minted from 1921–1935 to commemorate the peace following World War I. The obverse features the iconic portrait of Lady Liberty, while the reverse displays a majestic eagle perched on a rock holding an olive branch.
Coins from the San Francisco Mint (S mint mark) are among the more difficult Peace Dollars to find in higher grades, making the 1934-S issue especially sought after by collectors.
This example has been graded About Uncirculated 58, showing strong remaining luster with only light wear on the highest points of the design.
